With over 30 years’ experience on the roads and driving an average of 80,000km per year. Having spent so much time on the roads I want to do my bit to make the roads a safer and a more enjoyable place for everyone to be. Some of what you see on the roads is unbelievable from either a poor attitude or lack of knowledge. It is a genuine problem and I intend to be part of the solution.

It is my goal to bring you along on that journey and make you part of the solution also. If you don’t think one person can make a difference, remember, it was only one guy in China that ate a bat.

Freedom = Responsibility

The excitement of the freedom and flexibility of having your drivers licence is so close. A drivers licence is not a right, it is a privilege and comes with responsibility. We will ensure you have confidence in making the right decision for the situations on the road. At Swift and Sure Driver Training the skillsets of defensive driving are taught organically within the driving lesson plans.

Getting Those P’s

It is important to us that you succeed. Your success drives word of mouth referrals which in turn drives our business and provides fuel for the end goal of providing better trained, safer, more competent, confident and courteous drivers on our roads.

Of course, the main goal is to help you pass your practical driving assessment and getting those ‘Ps’ however I offer substantially more than ‘just passing the driving test’.

I look forward to working with you on one of the most important daily life skills you will learn.

Just starting out? Not a problem…………….
Upgrading from an automatic to a manual licence? Too easy………..
Perhaps you are just interested in ensuring you are up with the latest laws and recognised best practise…………
We cater to drivers of all levels. Some people are naturals, some need more time in a protected area to gain their confidence before moving to busy roads. We understand this and have the flexibility within the training plans to cater for any level……..

We cover it all.

FAQ

How many lessons will I need before I can take my test?
This really depends on you and how ready you already are. Some of my clients have been driving for some time and only require a couple of lessons to correct some bad habits they have picked up, a good example of that is someone upgrading to a manual licence from an automatic licence. If you are starting from scratch and have never driven it will take longer, there is no right or wrong amount of lessons you should require.
I have just bought a Ford Ranger. I am allowed to tailgate people now, that’s correct right?
No, you must still allow at least a two second gap between you and the car in front on normal road conditions. Just because you have a big car and wear hi-vis doesn’t give you the right to intimidate other drivers, particularly learner drivers. The speed limit applies to everyone also, yes, even you.
Can I have someone else in the car with me during the lesson?

Absolutely, I encourange your regular supervisor to attend lessons if they wish. This can help to ensure they are supporting you correctly during normal driving practice.

I have a BMW and it has a weird stick on the side of the steering wheel which sometimes gets in the way. Can I remove it?
NO! This operates the indicator. Using your indicators is a very important part of driving on our roads. It allows everyone to be aware of what you are intending to do prior to you doing it. You should begin to include the use of indicators in your daily driving habits immediately. Please book a lesson with us so we can assist with correcting this and other bad habits.

I have a medical condition. Will this affect my training?
Please discuss this with us prior to the lesson and we will ensure that your needs are met. It is important that you make us aware of any potential issues that may arise.
How much will it cost me to learn to drive with you?
As mentioned above, there is no right or wrong amount of lessons. We have specials and discounted packages all the time. These are detailed on the bookings page and are updated regularly.

Testimonials

I had my licence at home but didn’t pass test here. I needed manual licence for visa work. He helped me learn Aus ways and was easy to hear. I am not good English but he is good with not good English.

Knows when I was ready to go on highway before I did. Had the confidence in me when I didn’t. He did push me out of my comfort zone a bit but that made me ready quicker.
